What Causes Hoarseness In Voice And Burning Sensation In The Throat?
DR. MY VOICE HAS BEEN HOARSE FOR TWO MONTHS, I HAVE A LIGHT BURNING SENSATION IN MY THROAT, AND SOME TIMES A MILD EAR ACHE. I WENT TO THE DR. AND HE SAID EVERYTHING IN MY THROAT SEEM NORMAL AS WELL AS MY EARS. I DON T FEEL WELL I M ALWAYS VERY TIRED AND RUNDOWN. WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THIS SYMPTOMS. THANK YOU
Hoarseness is generally caused by irritation of, or injury to, the vocal cords. The most common cause of hoarseness is acute laryngitis.(this is excluded in your case). Other potential causes can be allergies, acid reflux, smoking, thyroid problems, or inhalation of respiratory tract irritants.
You have tiredness and feel rundown and if you were my patient, I will suggest to do the thyroid tests because you may have Hypothyroidism that can explain all your symptoms.
I suggest to talk with your local doctor about all the potential causes that can cause your symptoms and the necessary tests to reach the right diagnosis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Elona Xhardo,
Endocrinologist
