What Causes Hollow Sensation In The Head After Recovering From Cold?

My heads feels hollow when i tap on on . Same feeling when snapping my teeth. What is the cause and possible trarment. I had a cold recently for about 5 days and largely cleared up , but the sound remains. Was also having wax in ears last few years. Caught cold while in India and now back home in Malaysia. Appreciatie your opinion.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your history is not sufficient to conclude. Possible causes are you may be recovered from Acute viral rhino pharyngitis then you may be developed Eustachian tube block. which may cause heaviness in the ear and head. Also Eustachian tube block or dysfunction may cause sound remain in the ears and tinnitus. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking and caffeine drinks.
Use decongestant medication twice a day for five days.
If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
