What Causes Horizontal Lines Across The Fingernails?

I have lines that are horizontal across my fingernails on both hands. I have been off chemotherapy now for 16 weeks. The cancer I have is angio sarcoma - soft tissue - in neck and jaw area. These lines have been there now for at least 12 weeks. What causes this and treatment suggested?

As per your history is concerned please follow-
1) Correct Iron +B-complex by injectable medications
2)Check Liver function and kidney function test
3)Check FBS & TSH
