What Causes Hot Flashes Along With Chills In Feet During Menopause?
What would cause hot flashes yet I m cold too, especially my feet. I wear two pair of socks all t h e time. I do hAve fibromyalgia, high blood pressure, and recently hypothyriodism. Already in menopause f or serra years. No longer on hormones for over a year.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Hot flushes after menopause are likely to be due to deficiency of estrogen hormones. Hot flushes are seen during menopause, however, feeling cold is not a feature of menopause. I suggest you to get thyroid function tests to determine the status of thyroid functions. In case there is any abnormality of thyroid hormones, appropriate measures need to be taken to correct the abnormality. You may start estrogen replacement therapy to alleviate the symptoms of menopause after consultation with a gynecologist.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
