I am 53 yrs old. I now have had a biopsy that I have not got the results yet. it is on my Thyroid but they are not sure if it is that or a Lymph Node. I am having hot flashes and cold sweats everyday. Is this my thyroid or just normal change of life stuff.?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think the hot flashes are as a result of menopause since you are around 50.

You can use phytoestrogens to replace the low production of estrogen in your body. This will reduce the symptoms of hot flashes.

Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
