What Causes Hot Flashes At Night?
I got up in the middle of the night for water. I had filled my glass and was leaning on the counter when I suddenly felt very hot and sweaty. Next thing I woke up on the floor with a broken glass and water spilled. Something similar happen about a month ago. Frequently when sleeping my legs get very hot. Not sure what to ask.

I think this may be a fainting episode. It may be from hypoglycaemia. The thirst may be from diabetes.
If you suffer from diabetes and inject insulin before bad this may be a reason. Control glucose levels in the blood. Maybe you are taking too much insulin.
