Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Hot Flashes While Suffering From Bronchitis?
I have had Bronchitis and possibly laryngitis for 2 weeks now and beginning to feel better. my main worry is that I am having hot flashes that I didn t have before this episode and they are occurring about 7 - 10 times a day. I am 83 years old and normally unusually healthy.
I think the hot flashes are due to bronchitis and laryngitis themselves as you are having difficulty in breathing.
Plus, you might have been prescribed steroids, as potent anti-inflammatory meds. These might be also causing hot flashes.
I am happy to know that you are so healthy at this age 83 years old. My only concern is increase in blood pressure. So, try to monitor your bp, record the results as refence.
If you find it high, should consult further with your caring doctor for proper management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
