What Causes Hot Flushes And Menopausal Symptoms While On Vagifem?

Your advice please. Had hysterectomy 18 years ago. no natural children. Prescribed Premarin which was later changed to Sandrine gel which I have used fairly regularly until last year (2015). Found that this controlled symptoms, flushing etc. visit to local dr. Suggested that as I had been using Sandra gel for sometime should cease and try Vagfem 20mg. I used this as and when I felt I needed it but not on a Regular basis. Recently prescription changed to Vagfem 10mcg . I now find that I am experiencing frequent hot flashes and feel as though I am experiencing the symptoms of menopause all over again. When I was using Sandrena gel these symptoms were controlled. Should I cease Vagfem medication and go back to Sandrna? I am 68 years old and do not take any other medication. No other health issues. Would welcome your advice. Mother alive 93 father died 98, sister 73. Many thanks
