General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There are 2 main reasons for having hot flushes:
- spikes in blood pressure: should monitor your BP, record the results for reference. If it will results high, should consult with your cardiologist to adjust current treatment.
- hormonal changes at your age (56 years old), most probably menopause. Primrose oil can help reduce hot flushes. Discuss this further with your caring doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
