Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 61 year old woman. Several times a day I get a really depressed feeling followed by a feeling of nausea and immediately followed by facial flushing. The whole thing last probably less than 2 minutes. I take meds for blood pressure and Simvastatin for Cholesterol.
Feeling nausea and immediately followed by facial flushing might be related to spikes in blood pressure. I advise to monitor your blood pressure (bp) when you have flushing episode and on daily basis for at least 1 week, record the results and pass them to your doctor for reference (you can send them to me too).
I would like to know when does nausea occur: - after eating? - when you feel depressed? - when you have your meds? - does it occur when you take simvastatin?
Thank you and wish fast recovery! Dr.Albana
