I have an issue with just my left ear. I hear sounds of rushing blood only during in the evening time in that ear. It does not affect my other ear and I ve had my ears cleaned. It has occurred before and gone away but now it s keeping me up longer at night.

As per your query you have symptoms of hushing sound in left ear which is a symptom of an underlying condition, such as ear injury, circulatory system disorder, eustachian tube dysfunction, stress, anxiety and age-related hearing loss. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination and to find out exact cause. You should avoid touching or pricking ear with any sharp instrument as it can lead to perforation .Doctor may order certain tests like audiological test , rushing test, high and low pitched test. Doctor may prescribe medications such as tricyclic antidepressants, alprazolam. Doctor may prescribe devices like hearing aids.
