Infectious Diseases Specialist, Dr. Praveen G's Response
Hello,
Welcome to HCM,
The change in voice will be noticed if there is any infection affecting the larynx. This may be a sequel of the Upper respiratory tract infection (URTI).
Whenever the infection spread to larynx and if it is not treated properly with the antibiotics and other remedies it may take few weeks to get back to the normal.
I would have suggested
1. Steam Inhalation with the Vapocaps, which will reduce the edema and improves the condition.
2. Oral antihistamines.
The symptoms will improve with this, if it is not improving even after 1 month, you may have to revisit your ENT surgeon for oral examination an find out the reason for the same.
Thank you.
