What Causes Impaired Sense Of Smell And Taste?

I am 66 year old male, over a year ago I was unable to smell or taste. My doctor had me take allergy shots and another doctor had me take vitamin A and zinc. I am able to taste sweet and salty but no flavors. I can smell some things but not all. I was reading about Sinuswars and wondered if it worked.
