What Causes Impairment In Vision And Speech Along With Numbness In The Fingers?

My 37 year old daughter recently had some vision problems along with difficulty speaking words and numbness in her fingers during one evening. The ER advised it may be related to migraines (which she does not have) and performed no tests. We are concerned that she may need another opinion or at least some further testing. She is not overweight, non-smoker and otherwise healthy. Can you tell us what these symptoms could possibly mean?
