What Causes Inability To Move Thumb After An Injury?

I cut through my webbing three weeks ago in the area between my thumb and index finger on my left hand. The thumb is swollen, I have a lot of dead skin, and the cut looks like it healed fine, but I cannot bend the tip of my thumb. I was wondering if this is due to the swelling or if it is nerve damage, also will it heal?
