What Causes Inability To Perform Regular Activities?

hi its about my mom. she is 55 years old. she developed certain problem in handling household activities. for ex she is not able to locate a particular thing among many items.she developed this problem gradually. now she cant able to dress herself. she need a assistance all the time. by seeing herself in this way we become very depressed coz once she was a perfect wife, a mother who used to take care of all. can you plz help me.....
