What Causes Inability To Urinate, Extreme Pain In Rectum And Itching In Body?

My niece is experiencing some issues. She is a healthy 28 year old with no prior health issues. She is unable to urinate without using a cath, she is very itchy in various parts of her body and has extreme pain in her rectum. She has seen a urologist and everything seems to be fine. She is going to a neurologist tomorrow and also a gastronlogist soon.Any ideas Donna VanWingerden

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It might be an acute attack of urinary tract infection. Consult a physician and plan for a urine culture and start antibiotics according to culture reports.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
