What Causes Increase In HCG Levels During Pregnancy?

Ok so I am here to find answers, hopefully more than I already know. I am approximately 6 weeks pregnant. I have had my hcg levels tested 3 times so far (also from 3 different labs). First was 15000, then 12000 then 19000. What is going on? Also the day it was 12000 I went to the ER for extreme dizziness and I was told I was dehydrated and they gave me some fluids via IV. Any idea what is going on?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

HCG levels go up during pregnancy. The results indicate that you are pregnant. There is nothing to worry. Probably you were dehydrated and that caused exhaustion. Please follow instructions as given by your doctor.
