Hello,
You have not mentioned whether you have a history of cardiac problem. Patients with cardiovascular diseases should take
Buspar &
Amitriptyline with much caution as they can cause many side effects. Depressed patients are more likely to experience MI(
Myocardial infection), severe complications like
arrhythmia leading to serious cardiac conditions can occur in patients who have no history of CVD.
Report your symptoms to your treating doctor so that any developing cardiac anomaly/pathology can be detected. Get all required investigations done, get evaluated, get treated. Do not get addicted to the antidepression medications you have been prescribed. Try to stay out of
stress, take adequate sleep, switch to healthy lifestyle, enjoy outdoors, eat healthy & do regular exercises.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
