What Causes Increasing Hair Fall After Had Hair Smoothing Done?

I am facing dramatic increase of hair fall suddenly after I have gone for hair smoothing from a Local Hair Saloon. Earlier to that my hair fall was not so excessive. Its like falling of hair increased by 10 times. I had undergone for hair straightening 2 years ago but it did not led to such hair fall. So I am confused whether this time it was something wrong with the hair smoothing. Please advise.
