What Causes Indentation At The Center Of The Skull Long After A Chemical Burn?

I have a painful indentation in the exact center of my skull. It often feels tender or bruised with a severe burning sensation. I experienced a chemical burn in that area around 3 years ago, but that would only explain the soreness not the dent. The pain has increased over time. If there is any possible awareness of what this could be, please share.

Hi,

The indentation may be caused by a cyst (dermoid cyst) or if this has been recent and red painful then it may be a carbuncle, that is an infection of hair follicle. So while you can use some painkiller, for the time being, it always needs a look to be sure what it might be. So please see your doctor in this regards.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
