What Causes Indentation In The Top Of Skull?

I am a 63 year old woman. Recently I have noticed an indentation in the top of my skull. The area is sensitive. I had a concussion about 8 years ago but without other complications and did not hit that area of my head. I have not noticed other symptoms other than some mild short term memory loss. Please advise.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It can be lipoma or fat nodule but possibility of any folliculitis or underlying scalp local infection may needs to be ruled out but correlation with cognitive symptoms seems not related. For other symptoms neurological examination and neurologist review should be sought.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
