What Causes Infection At The Incision Site Along With Severe Back Pain?
Hi I had a c section almost 8 weeks ago. I had bruising and infection following the surgery. After being discharged, I was readmitted again with ssi and then put on antibiotics and discharged again. 2 weeks ago I felt my abdomen was tender and my incision again got infected but was closed.... It reopened. I was given creams to use. I started to feel pain with urination and started taking antibiotics after almost a full course I. Was not getting better and I was bleeding with urination and having severe back pain. Again I felt my abdomen sore near the incision site. Ultrasound shows infection with fluid under the incision. Could this ssi have contributed to the urine infection?

Yes, It is all interrelated because of spread of infection you got this wound issue. But urinary issues are a separate event. there is no problem with the inside structural anatomay of the urinary bladder or ureters. Please get relaxed for that. But you have got urinary tract infection for sure.
If I was your treating physician I would have prescribed you Nitrofurantoin antibiotic for urinary infections. Plus take Cranberry Extract Sachet or juice frequently.
Consultback your surgeon for the wound care. This wound now needs special attention and proper treatment under direct supervision of the surgeon.
