What Causes Infection On The Ear Lobes On Wearing Certain Metal Earrings?
My girlfriend claims she could possible be allergic to certain properties of most earrings she wears. I noticed that there was a split on the fold behind both ear lobes that is highly inflamed and stings upon contact. (looks similar to an open wound\cut) There is some liquid residues that secretes and the areas become dry and flaky. Her ears swell up around the piercing on both ears after a few hours of wearing the earrings. She has taken them out for a few days now and has seemed to get better, but the flakiness and dryness still occurs.
Hello Metal allergy is very common. She can use a mild steroid cream like cortisone to be applied twice daily for a week to cure her present condition. However the only permanent cure is to avoid all the metals to which she is allergic. Let me know if you have any other doubts. Thanks
