What Causes Infertility?

Hello Doctor. We are an Indian couple and trying for a baby. After we got our semen analysis, we found that the semen liquefaction happened only after 1-1.5 hours. The doctors (2 doctors) we showed the report told everything is normal as sperm count was normal. I doubt if the delayed semen liquefaction could be a problem. I am having light pain when I press/touch the testicles. I showed this to an urologist and he said everything is normal. My wife already had 3 missed abortions and we have done all the tests which doctor suggested and all tests resulted normal. The doctor could not diagnose the problem. We are in great dilemma as what could be the problem and how to find the exact issue and get treatment so that we can have a baby. Thank you very much for your time. Hello vikas,I understand your concern.in my opinion this is not a case of infertility because your wife is getting pregnant but it is not maintained due to some problem.you have not given during how much span three abortions occurred.this may be a case of recurrent abortions.there are many causes for recurrent abortions like genetic,hormonal(thyroid abnormalities,progesterone insufficiency),structural anamolies of uterus and infections.check if all the above tests are done and everything is normal.otherwise you can check them before conceiving and take apt treatment relating to cause.just give a gap for 3 to 5 months and then plan pregnancy.better to start taking folic acid one month prior of planning pregnancy.ask your wife to be cool and relaxed as anxiety and stress also impair fertility.dont worry mostly the cases like this will proceed and will have a normal pregnancy.all the best.
