Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Inflamed Foot With History Of Hysterectomy?
My outside of my left foot became inflamed causing me to have difficulty walking? The doctor said it is tendo nitis but I had a hysterectomy in the year 2000 and I am wondering if it is a result of too much testosterone and no estrogen in my system. Could it be the beginning of gout? .
Hysterectomy and the resulting hormonal changes may not be responsible for tendonitis of foot. Inflammation of the tendon can occur due to overuse (exercise and repeating the same movement several times). Painkillers and ice packs can reduce the discomfort. Rest to the affected leg is required for early recovery.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
