What Causes Inflamed Testicle?

This is embarrassing but I went to the doc and turns out I had an inflamed left testicle. I got doxycycline last week on Wednesday that I ve been taking twice a day. Today is Wednesday so it s been about a week but the urge is pretty bad. would it be harmful? btw I was thinking the testicle might have been inflamed due to over masturbation (once a day)

Masturbation cannot cause testicular inflammation. Infection by micro organisms cause testicular inflammation called orchitis and usually associated with inflammation of epididymis called epididymo-orchitis. So, please follow your doctor's advice for relief. All the best.
