What Causes Inflammation And Burning Sensation In The Ears?
Both of my outer ears are inflamed, oozing and have a burning itch. The ear lobes are swollen, the skin is very dry and flaking . The weeping is serve enough to dampen my pillow case. I have just finish a round of Cephalexin 500 mg x3 daily and prednisone 20 mg bid. No recent changes in lifestyle or shampoos, body soap or laundry detergent.

As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.
