Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hi,

Inflammation and collection of fluid in hip joint is suggestive of inflammation of the synovial lining of the hip joint. The inflammation could be infectious or non-infectious.

As you have mentioned that the joint had abscess which suggests that there is a bacterial infection. I suggest you to consult your treating orthopedics for treatment of recurrence of infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
