What Causes Inflammation And Irritation On Labia Minora?

I had hemorrhage right after I delivered my first baby .... they stitched me internal then I kept bleeding then 3 hrs later I felt I am passing out they checked my hemoglobin it was 6 ... They opened me internal and gave me blood transfusion . I started to feel better 2 months later but I found some inflammation and irritation in my minor labia and two white pimples by my gentle area that I never had before .. I went to doc he did pop smear still waiting for results and about inflammation he said it is nothing it may go away and may not ... 3 months before getting pregnant I did pop smear and pips and all negative never had any std . The only thing is BV Bactria vaganosist bec of my hp balance

Hi,
I understand your concern.
The inflammton & irritation in labia majora can be due to vaginitis following the severe bleeding followed by anemia & low general condition after your delivery.
This must have lead to your problems because of low resistance & ignorance of local hygiene.
* -It can be vaginal infection, which usually is associated with white discharge./ burning of urination may or may not accompany.
-Fungal infection- discharge with swelling & itching can be due to vaginal trichomoniasis
- Bacterial infection- Clear / yellowish discharge with back ache signs of local inflammation & white pustules on vagina can follow bacterial vaginitis due to low resistance./ swelling can be due to infection of Bartholin glands on outer side of minora.
* - Hair root infection/ inflammation of vaginal hairs can be the cause.
Few investigations like CBC, vaginal swab testing will help in diagnosis
Please don't worry. whatever the cause the condition is treatable after a gynecologist's advise after finding specific cause.
