What Causes Inflammation And Itching On Neck?

The front of my neck is red and itchy. I have had it before normally when I have been on holiday and it has been humid but it normally gives after a few days but I am not on holiday. I am at home in England and although us has been warmer for the past few days it is not particularly hit. It is the worst but has ever been and nothing I am doing is helping. It itches so much it feels like burning and is driving me mad

Hello,

As per your case history, you have a polymorphic light eruption. My treatment advice is -
1. Avoid sun exposure and use a good sunscreen lotion with SPF more than 30.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like fusiderm-B cream twice daily on the affected skin.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are an oral steroid, hydroxyzine, took only after consulting a dermatologist.
