What Causes Inflammation And Knot On Tragus?
Hello. 23 year old male, with no previous medical problems. 6 3 and 215 lbs. For about a week, the outer ear, near the tragus, has been inflamed does not seem to be going away. There seems to be a knot, the size of a dime near the tragus that feels hard to the touch. At first, cause was thought to be stress but problem has not gotten better. Not sure what the problem could be or if there is cause for concern.

Dear pain and swelling on tragus may due infection it may arise from external otitis media, tragus piercing objects, or lymph node enlarge around ear due to infection. Some times it may be due to eczema around ear cause this problem. Difficult to treat to with out examination. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
