What Causes Inflammation And Pain In The Vagina?

Hiya, So think I may have folliculitis in my public area! I have some spots/bumps that initially appeared then turned into open sores and my vaginal lips have become inflamed and sore to touch. The spots/sores do have hairs in, and now I think I have an infection as my vagjnal area is smelling pretty bad! What should I do? Or do you think it is something else?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It seems to be acute bacterial infection like folliculitis. For that you can apply topical Mupirocin or Neosporin like cream over that which is having anti bacteria infection. If inflammation more than non steroid anti inflammatory drug can be prescribed. You can Consult gynecologist for examination and get prescription accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
