What Causes Inflammation And Persistent Pain In The Lower Abdomen?

I have been having pain, not severe, but persistent for some time, month of so, just a smidge below my belly button on the right side. Sort of burns. I thought when I twisted it hurt...but not sure it hurts more then or not. Feels better lying down. Also kind of comes and goes and at times seems move around, but usually on the right side of belly button. Feel slightly bloated and stomach seems sort of tight. I am 58, male and other wise in pretty good shape. ???

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
I appreciate your concern
this could be any of following
diverticulitis
inflammatory bowel disease
pancreatitis
gall stone or liver disease

If you can upload me detailed information I will be able to guide you better
Is it associated with vomiting nausea or decreased appetite
frequency of motions
History of chronic disease like diabetes hypertension

in my opinion you should consult a gastroenterologist for examination and ultrasound or endoscopy if required

you can take omeprazole group of drugs with antacids
avoid fatty fried spicy and junk food or carbonated drinks
have plenty of fluids
wishing you good health
I find this answer helpful
