What Causes Inflammation In Groin Post Infusion Of Zithromax And Rocephin?

I had 3 injections on 3/9/15 in the E.R. they were Zithromax, rocephin and solumedrol. One the the injections I about flew off the bed from I had really really bad burning after being injected it was especially bad in the groin area and it lasted for about 30 seconds or so. I felt like I was burning from the inside out. Out of these 3 injections do you know which one could have gave me that symptom? I want to make sure I never have it AGAIN!!!

Anesthesiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Among the three injections, you had taken, solumedrol is known to cause burning sensation in the groin following an IV injection. The other two are very less likely to cause. So, Solu-Medrol is the drug responsible for your symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
