What Causes Inflammation In The Eyes?

For well over a month now my eyes have been really inflamed and there are cracks in the corners both inside and outside along with an appearing rash. I ve been prescribed antibiotic drops and given allergy drops and nothing has worked, my condition hasn t even improved. Please is there anything I can do to fix this ? and what could it possibly be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to conjunctivitis which is an inflammation of the conjunctiva.

I suggest continuing using steroid eye drops for local application.

I also recommend using antihistamines for oral treatment such as Cetirizine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
