What Causes Inflammation Of Tongue Along With Difficulty While Swallowing?
Hi, i have been having a few issues lately.
For a few months i have felt my mouth burning at times, even the outside.
I used to drink every day before, now when i drink a glass of wine or less my throat burns and one ear even feels like burning.
I have an app with a gi doctor in august.
For the last week my throat feels like if i have an infection and i have difficulty swallowing. It feels grainy and when i deink water the feeling is like if the water goues everywhere ( dont know how to explain it)
I will be seeing an ENT monday.
I do not have a clue on what it could be
I also tend to have lots of gases after meals or even water.
I had done a ct scan of the pelvis and abdomen and everything seems ok
Please help.

Understanding your concern.
The symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards a condition known as acid reflux disease also known as gastrointestinal reflux disease . There is nothing to panic as it is easily treatable .
I would suggest you to avoid drinking aven wine as it can exaggerated condition , avoid heavy and spicy meal , eat at least 1-2 hour before going to bet and avoid fizzy drink and caffeine containing products .
It is good that you have already fixed appointment with gastroenterologist . Doctor will order endoscopy and X-ray of upper digestive track as this condition occur due to dysfunction of upper esophageal sphincter .
Doctor may prescribe drugs to reduce acid production like proton pump inhibitor , H2 blockers and antacids .
