What Causes Inflammation On The Face?

My face is red and feels hot. No fever... 97.6. BP is okay... 119/76. I ve eaten and drank water and iced tea. Its been this way for a couple hours now. Yesterday I had two steroid injections...one in my wrist (old broken wrist injury hampering recovery from torn UCL surgery in December) and one in my thumb (trigger thumb).

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Flushing in the face maybe due to infection or due allergic reaction. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Steroid injections also may cause flushing and inflammation.

Drug allergy or food Intolerance may present like this.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
