Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
It is well recognized that
steroids can effect sleep. On the other hand it is more common in long term use. You having it for only one time would be expected to have been effected probably for a couple of days but having this
sleeplessness for a several days seems less likely to be due to the steroid injection. I would say that if your sleep issue goes beyond 10-14 days than it is obvious it is not related to steroid injection and you will need to talk with your doctor to find the cause of it.
Meanwhile make sure you go regularly to bed, not too late, do not do activating activities before bed time (no sports or heavy eating before bed time), make sure you keen your self busy during the day, be active during the first hours of the day and try to avoid sleep during the day. Avoiding alcohol, coffee, energy drinks and cigarettes might be helpful.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
