What Causes Insomnia And Poor Memory While On Hormone Replacement Therapy?

I have been on hormone replacement since my mid fifties. I was taken off of them (per doctor s suggestion) I was and am 77 years old I can t sleep with out meds, now. very forgetful, went from approx. 125 lbs. to 110 lbs. I hid my meds for sleep because I am afraid he will take the meds away from me. He would not. And, now, I need surgery in my brain, Because of an old injury that I don t remember! I get angry easy and I cry so easy...I am just not me any longer!

Hi,

HRT is not known to cause lack of sleep or forgetfulness. These symptoms could be due to aging process/the old brain trauma you had Along with the surgery planned. Physical exercises with mind concentration techniques/meditation can be helpful in combating the symptoms.
