What Causes Intense Left Sided Headache While Reading?

Reading and horrible pain hit left top of my head. It washed over me for about 30 seconds. It was completely gone in about 10 minutes with the exception of it making a spot on my head very sore for about an hour. Any ideas? I am going for a six month checkup on Thursday.

As per your history, it may be due migraine.

For that you can take tablet acetaminophen for pain.

Take proper rest. Avoid bright light and stress.

Do eye check up after physician consultation. In case of severe headaches you may require tablet vasograin
