What Causes Intense Pain Around The Knee While Standing?

Within the past few days, I have been doing an unusual amount of stooping down, lifting heavy objectwhile bending knees carefully, started taking mobic two days ago, and recently when I attempt to get up from laying down position, the pain is in the side/middle. Started applying ice and wondered if there was anything else I could do to alleviate the pain.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Additional trial with local application of heating pad, ointment or spray containing diclofenac with menthol will give best results. Later on an X-ray of the knee joint is mandatory as basic level evaluation to rule out arthritis or other joint changes responsible for the pain level.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
