Hi
Welcome to healthcare magic.
The pain in bilateral ankles with apparently normal bones is likely to be of neuropathic in nature especially in context of diabetes.
Some times vitamin D deficiency also causes such pains, also get assessed your bone health-get a drxascan of your bones.
The medicine will be needed to be updated according to the detected problems.
At times there is diabetes myopathy which can also cause such pain and imbalance.
I hope the advise will be helpful for you.
