What Causes Intense Pain In Ear Canal?

Sir,

I am feeling intense pain in my one of ear canal. i got it checked by ENT specialist recently. The doctor said that it is due to infection in ear canal & also highlighted tonsilitis as one of the cause. on his advice i took some medicines but it could not relieve my pain completely. though minute change can be seen in terms of impact. I fear about some might have enter my ear canal as i could feel pain in my head too. Is there really a possibility of such an event or is this my psychological mistaken assumption.but some movement can be felt inside my ear.kindly help soon

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, thanks for your query. In my opinion, ear pain can be because of problems in the ear , problems else where like throat , tmj joint present in front of the ear, neuralgic pain. Etc.
As per you said that you have chronic tonsillitis which can cause referred pain to the ear.
Feeling of something moving on the ear can be clarified only after clinically examination.
If your doctor has examined you and then suggested medicines ,probably he is right.
It might be your psychological assumption.
If symptoms persists, then you have to consult your doctor and get evaluated.
Empirically you can take anti inflammatory medicines to relieve the pain
hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
