What Causes Intense Pain In Jaw,face And Ear After Nasal Cauterization?

I am experiencing pretty intense jaw, facial and ear pain on the right side of my face starting 24 hrs after nasal cauterization for nosebleeds. It s been going on for 4 days now. I have no fever or sinus drainage and there is still some dried crusting inside that hasn t loosened up yet. Is this normal. What is causing it and how long will this pain last. It keeps me up af night. Ibuprofen helps but only for a short time.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, such symptom could be due to post surgical inflammatory process, here the matter of concern would be infection and you need to be alert for that and in case of this better to start the antibiotic, else anti-inflammatory would be enough to get rid of this, hope this information helps, take care.
