What Causes Intense Pain In Lower Right Side Of Abdomen?

Hello, I ve been having excruciating pain in my lower right abdomen, sort of near the crease where the belly stops and your leg begins. I thought it might be appendicitis but I show no other signs other than intense pain. And just this morning, It started hurting a bit in my lower right back and just a tiny bit down my right leg. Is there anything else that it could possibly be?

Hello,

There can be various reasons for intense pain in right side abdomen lower component as:
- Acute intestine spasm
- Calculus or gravels in the urinary system as ureter or kidney of the right side
- Torsion of testis (in male)
- Torsion ovary, rupture ovarian cyst or ovulation in female
- Previously existing hernia, strangulating in either case
- Inflammation of the cecum or terminal ileum
- Others

However, the details of another relevant facts of history, physical examination with necessary radiology evaluation of an x-ray or ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis are key to the diagnostic approach and manage accordingly.

However, till that time, an intake of dicyclomine or drotaverine is best suggested for acute pain relief within couple of minutes.
