What Causes Intense Pain Under The Right Breast Despite Taking Paracetamol For Cough?

Hi,I am a 27 year old women and I am deciding wether I need to go to emergency room or if I can wait until Monday (today friday). I went to GP on Thursday with pain right under my right breast being there for 2 days at that point ,also having cough for 6weeks now.Doctor is getting myself a chest xray (was meant to be today but no answer). Last night around 5pm my pain within 10minutes dramatically doubled having me curling over in tears. I am taking 30mg codiene with ibroprofen and paracetamol (only taking edge off the pain). I am just wondering if I shall go to the emergency room or if my situation can wait till next week. Thankyou for your time Stacey

Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the severe pain here narrates possible spasm of bronchi from underlying respiratory infection.

I suggest to get an injection at ER to relieve the situation immediately rather than waiting in agony of pain till further 3 days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
