What Causes Intense Pressure In Head?

I have felt intense pressure in my head above my left eye for several months. Also my gait is off and my left side feels weak, but I broke my neck about 40 yrs ago and I thought it might be from that.What could it be and what kind of Dr should I go to? I don t have a primary.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of intense pressure in head above left eye. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like sinusitis, traumatic brain injury, TMJ dysfunction, ischemic strokes, meningitis , encephalitis and tumors. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult neurologist for proper examination. Doctor may order CT scan , MRI along with physical examination to confirm diagnosis. You should start treatment after complete examination. Do tepid sponging as well. Doctor may prescribe certain medicines like beta blockers , furosemide.
