What Causes Intense Right-sided Back Pain And Protruding Veins On The Groin?

Hi Doctor,Thursday I had intense pain in my back on the right side below my ribs for half an hour and then it went away. It was made worse by deep breathes. During Thursday night I was unable to move my right leg with pain. I could/can touch it press on it etc and it not cause any pain. Friday I went to the doctor and he checked a urine sample which was clear or blood and I am not pregnant. I had a blood test today to check sugar, liver and kidneys. The results are not back. At times today the pain has been intense and I have just noticed red spider like vein patterns radiating from my groin. I have had no injury as far as I am away. I am having neurofen every 4 hours and applying heat. Is there anything else I should do? Thank you for your time, Bernadette

Hello,

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persists better to consult an orthopaedician and plan for an MRI scan.
