What Causes Intense Sharp Abdominal Pain On Either Side Of Surgical Scar?

When I sneeze, cough, or sit up or twist too fast I get intense sharp pain in my lower abdomen on both sides. The pain is at each end of my c-section scar. I had the c-section almost 3 years ago so I don t know if that has anything to do with it. But I think the pain has been happening for at least a year anywhere from one to several times a day. It usually only lasts for a few seconds up to a minute.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that there might be having some adhesion formation after cesarean section surgery.
This adhesion can produce this type of stretching type of pain while movements or pressing the part.
Consult Gynaec and get examined.
Ultra sound of abdome will be of much helpful to find out the cause.
Do abdominal recti muscle exercises daily.
Ok and take care.
I find this answer helpful
